Welcome to the Department of Zoology where detailed knowledge of the biology of animals are studied from the microscopic forms to the larger mammals across all environmental spheres. The Department is well positioned to help you apply fundamental biology to the fascinating world of animals. This includes field, laboratory and theoretical studies of animals that range from disease-causing animals such as malaria parasite through pests to vertebrates. Zoology addresses the fundamentals of animals’ behaviour, population dynamics, physiology and their interactions with other species and their environments. It builds future Zoologists that are vast in every aspect of Zoology and other allied subjects.
