Professor Adeolu Taiwo Ande obtained his first Degree in Zoology from the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Ilorin in 1984. His Masters Degree and Doctorate Degree in Zoology were obtained from the same Department in 1986 and 1991, respectively.
His career as a lecturer was initiated as an assistant Lecturer in the Department of Biological sciences in 1990 where he rose through the ranks to become a Zoology Professor in 2012. His option of specialization in Zoology is Entomology with a bias towards behavioural and medical entomology.
Professor Ande’s administrative experiences include being Zoology Unit Coordinator, Department of Biological Sciences, acting and substantive Head of Zoology Department, Dean Faculty of Life Sciences, Member, Biological Garden Committee, Chairman, Zoological Garden Management Board and Chairman Unilorin Zoo Zoo Management Board at various times.
He is a Fellow of the Entomological Society of Nigeria (FESN) and member of many other professional bodies.
