Biography

Dr Abass Toba Anifowoshe is a Lecturer I at the Department of Zoology (Cell Biology and Genetics Unit), Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Ilorin. The main focus of my research is to understand how environmental pollutants interact with the biological system including nucleic acid. To explore these, I use a different approach to dissect the associated mechanisms. I am also interested in different omics including expos-omics, transcriptomics, and metabolomics. Experimental approaches include genetic, molecular, biochemical, and genotoxic assays, microscopy, and behavioral tests.
The main research areas of interest are: Environmental Toxicology,
