Dr. Ibrahim Zainab Abdullahi is a Lecturer in the Department of Zoology at the University of Ilorin, and holds her B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Zoology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Her academic and research pursuits are grounded in fisheries science, ichthyo-helminthology, and ecotoxicology, with a specific focus on understanding the biochemical and physiological responses of fish to environmental contaminants in aquatic ecosystems. Her work contributes to the growing body of knowledge on aquatic health and the ecological implications of pollution in freshwater habitats. Dr. Ibrahim has been actively involved in teaching undergraduate courses including Animal Histology, Chordate and Invertebrate Zoology, Zoological Techniques, and Fisheries and Aquaculture. She brings a practical and research-driven approach to her classroom, helping students bridge theory with real-world applications. She is also a member of the Zoological Society of Nigeria and remains committed to advancing zoological research and education through collaborative projects and academic mentoring.
