Olufemi David Owolabi is a Professor in the Department of Zoology, Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Ilorin, with twenty-six years of teaching, research and administrative experience at the University. He has held many academic positions as a level adviser, postgraduate coordinator and Acting Head in the Department of Zoology, pioneer Sub-Dean, Faculty of Life
Sciences, pioneer Sub-Dean, Students’ Affairs and Deputy Director at the School of Preliminary Studies, University of Ilorin, Nigeria. His main areas of research are Fisheries Biology and Aquatic Ecotoxicology. To his credit, he has several scholarly publications in reputable academic journals. Professor Owolabi has attended many local and international training/workshops and
conferences, and he has successfully supervised many M.Sc. and Ph.D. candidates in his areas of expertise. He is a member of many learned societies.
